In recent years, the industry has paid more attention to the fierce competition among wind turbine manufacturers. In fact, starting from wind turbine manufacturers, the entire upstream industry chain is in a state of intense competition. In order to meet the cost reduction needs of the entire machine, important supply chain links such as flanges, gears, and bearings are also constantly accelerating innovation in materials and technological processes to achieve cost leadership advantages.
At the 2023 Beijing International Wind Energy Exhibition, representatives from steel companies pointed out that the rapid development of large MW units has led to an increase in load demand, which has spurred the upgrading of high-end wind power steel materials and equipment. Correspondingly, with the improvement of raw material quality, the key component of wind power - spindle bearings - has achieved a huge leap in both technical process and quality efficiency.
With the improvement of steel hardness, induction quenching technology is more in line with the requirements of high-performance and low-cost wind power main equipment nowadays.
The quality of wind turbine bearings is crucial for the reliability of the wind power transmission chain, especially in the current large-scale application of large MW wind turbines, which is the key to achieving sustainable large-scale utilization of wind power generation.
If it were said that many years ago, domestic spindle products lacked hanging machine verification and long-term operating experience compared to foreign products, then with the continuous breakthrough of domestic large MW wind power equipment, the quality of domestic bearings is no longer inferior to imported manufacturers in terms of application experience, technology investment, reaction speed, and heat treatment technology process.
